Hello! My name is Anita Crowder. I have a Bachelor of science in Systems and Control Engineering (French minor) from Case Western REserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. The university is the home of the Michelson-Morley Experiment! I have a Master of Arts in Secondary Mathematics Education. Finally, I have earned my doctorate in Educational Psychology at VCU with a research interest in underrepresented minorities in STEM and the relationship between learning mathematics and visualization. Systems engineering is not about programming. It is about applied mathematics. It is about simulation of the real world. it is about problem analysis. It is about problem solving. I have worked in both the federal government and private industry as a programmer and systems analyst. I am a licensed high school teacher, with endorsements in Mathematics (6-12), Computer Science, and English (6-12). finally, I own a small freelance software development company. I look forward to getting to know all of you. I'm sure i will learn as much (if not more!) from you as you will from me. Have questions?? E-mail me! |
