The Truth About Me

Hello!

My name is Anita Crowder.  I have a Bachelor of science in Systems and Control Engineering (French minor) from
Case Western REserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.  The university home of the Michelson-Morley Experiment!  I also have a Master of Arts in Secondary Mathematics Education.  Finally, I am a doctoral student in Educational Psychology at VCU with a research interest in underrepresented minorities in STEM.

Systems engineering is not about programming.  It is about applied mathematics.  It is about simulation of the real world.  it is about problem analysis.  It is about problem solving.

I have worked in both federal government and private industry as a programmer and systems analyst.

I am a licensed high school teacher,  with endorsements in Mathematics (6-12), Computer Science, and English.  finally, I
own a small freelance software development company.

I look forward to getting to know all of you.  I'm sure i will learn as much (if not more!) from you as you will from me.
